    Added new roof layer on 2 balconies. Seal coated walls. Cut patio decking to appropriate size.

    I had 2 balconies that were leaking water into my home and garage. I called them for an estimate but due to some really extreme weather in the area, they were quite busy but eventually came for the estimate about 1.5 weeks later. The guy explained everything that needed to be done and a quote was emailed and snail mailed to me within 2 days. It was a bit higher than other companies had quoted but still fair (other companies wanted me to pull up the wood decking myself to save on labor charges).

    After signing the contract, they were here in 2 weeks to start the job. The team arrived early, about 7:45am and continued working until about 5pm. They cleaned the area, pulled up wood decking and cut to size because it was too long and pushing into the layer underneath, added new roof layer, applied block coating to parapet walls and sealed everything. They came back the next day at about 7:30 to finish up and were done within a few hours. They left the area clean and everything looks great.

    It’s rained a few times since then and I haven’t noticed water getting into my home or garage, but there hasn’t been any heavy rains yet so its hard to say exactly if they fixed the issues. So far it seems great, and the balconies look awesome now.

    The customer service and the team that came out was great and friendly and very professional. I could reach them through phone and email and they answered all of my questions. I wish they could have come out a bit sooner, but it’s understandable that they were so busy considering the weather we’ve had. I would use them again.

    Our building was damaged in Bensenville on June 21st from the storm that ripped through our area. The brick of the NW corner of our building was ripped out. I called Keith the morning of the 22nd and he had a crew out there the next morning. By noon on the 23rd you could barely tell we had damage at all. GREAT JOB!

    I recommend Galewood Roofing and tuckpointing for many reasons. The Galewood Roofers are a very professional team. They showed up on time to work on our garage roof and the roof on the flat section of the house. They did an excellent job on the garage and the house. We are very satisfied with the work they did.     A few months back I had Galewood do some minor maintenance to my Park Ridge office building. I was really satisfied with the whole experience. By far the most knowledgeable people I spoke with. I just had them out to do some major work on my Condo building in Edison Park and again I’m quite pleased. I highly recommend Galewood. They will be doing some tuck-pointing work for me next spring.     From start to finish, this project went smoothly. The receptionist scheduled our consult with a father and son team of Frank and Keith, who came out and had the attitude that no job was too small. Their price was very competitive and they promised to closely match our existing glass block. It took a short amount of time for the windows to be made, but once they were, we were scheduled for installation within days. (The new glass blocks do closely match our existing windows.) The installers were quick, professional and left the work site extremely clean.

    Spot tuckpointing was done on a century old house. Old mortar was scraped clean and new mortar was neatly installed in all areas where it was indicated. Efforts to match existing mortar was appreciated. All work expertly performed. Owner was prompt in returning call, polite and knowledgeable. Work was completed as specified and expertly done. Area was left spotlessly clean and additional sealing done as promised.

    I was very pleased. Although at first no one immediatly returned my call for an estimate, I was pleasantly surprised when Frank later called saying he was outside my house and could give an estimate right then. After that, the work was performed on time (even the week before they had initially said it would be), and the quality seems very good. Their prices were a bit higher than others, but overall I am very happy with the results.

    Frank was extremely helpful in looking for, and helping us resolve our problem. I had previously spoken with other tuckpointing companies who either said they couldn’t help, or recommended replacing the entire brick face (this seemed ridiculous to me–on a 10 year old building!). Galewood was willing to do the work, and their work definitely made a difference. The workmen were polite and on time.
